Before OBS

I'm sorry for my negligence, and I don't really notice I have not blogged for weeks, if ww didn't ask me to update, I bet I'll forget =)

Er, this few days are considered as hustles and bustles, lives have become even more hectic than the first week. Everything is going quite well now, but the problem is I still feel homesick now. Anyway, I'm going home on the 12th Feb, very soon!

One of my roommates told me that I blog very seriously, am I? Yea, I suppose.. x) So, should I come up with any new blog styles? May be.

OBS, some of you might ask, WHAT IS OBS????? Okay, I know you are nervous to know, but just calm down first. It's like some sort of leadership training, but our school allows every sec threes to join this training as our school's vision is to prepare ladies and leaders of tomorrow.

The teachers have gone through a short briefing with us, so we have a rough idea of how's OBS and what's OBS. I'm looking forward to it as everyone said it's exciting and challenging. We will go kayaking, canoeing, and other land activities. It sounds great! Yeah, I know =)

OBS (Outward Bound Singapore) last for a week, don't miss me! ;) Before OBS, I would like to write a short post. This is the purpose of updating my blog! I reckon I'll be tan and exhausted after OBS! However, I think I'll strengthen my muscles and increase my stamina... hope so.

Updates for this week. We just had our E maths test. What the heck, I did many careless mistakes. ARGHH !! Also, we had Higher Chinese test yesterday which everyone complained they had no enough time to finish, me too! =( The duration for every test is very short, I guess they don't want students to cheat during exams. Yea, possibly correct, if not why should they shorten the exam duration? Lack of TIME. I confess time is precious but they shouldn't be like this! Supposed we have our Pure Geography graded assignment today, but my teacher is tooooooo nice. She postponed the due date. Hence, we need to pass up the assignment after OBS. =)

I thought we're having Pure Geography graded assignment today, so I was studying yesterday.

I brought this to Singapore, my senior asked me "Is this(the soft toy) a banana?" I replied "No!!!" Does it look like a banana?

Both my roommates love awokado.

Before I forget, we did chem experiment that day, we made our own crystals!!!! Blue crystals are made from copper sulphate. They are awesome! I love them! Plus, I felt successful after finishing a whole bunch of process, such as boiling the dilute sulphuric acid, filtrate the copper sulphate and bla bla bla. Forgot ;)

Photobucket
The Hui-Min-made crystals. =)

Crystals in beakers!

In Singapore, I'm really get used to go everywhere by buses or MRTs. There are buses everywhere and there are boards stating which bus goes where at all bus stations, so it's convenient!
Photobucket
Bus. Taxis.

Did I mention I'm sitting with a Korean girl, Jae Young? When I'm feeling hot, she will say, sorry Hui Min, I know it's my hotness, sorry, I'm so sorry!

Random Stuff

Oh, I think I'm really smart and great! Ha, 'cause finally I can have a chance to upload my pics!

1. I have my "priority", PENGUIN !! (with her polar bear)
Aha, did you see my penguin? She's special enough to have a nice seat there! I placed it with her friends to take a quick shot!

Next, you will see how bloody sweet and cute she is, standing on my bed, trying to be nonchalant! (I kissed her >.<) I love her white tummy.
Penguin loves her polar bear, so when penguin appears, polar bear must accompany her! Here you are polar bear! Please cheer up a bit, don't look so sleepy! smiles?

2. Chinatown
I went chinatown today, it looks something like this! The road wasn't very busy as this was taken early in the morning! Everyone is still in their deep slumber, I suppose. =) As we were walking along chinatown, we saw these buildings, which I love very much.

These are the Europe-style buildings, I reckon it was built by the British. I like chinatown actually, it shows how our ancestors came and how did they like and what had they done. Chinatown looks somewhat like the china, though many ang mo.

3. Hostel
After having a tiring walk from chinatown to national library till the HQ of popular, in Bugis, we finally reached hostel. We took a photo. They are Malaysians too! We're in black and white!

Okay, I confess that the environment in hostel is really good, I heard that this hostel is one of the best hostels in Singapore! =) That is block B which opposite to our block C.

This is the mini round-about. We will walk pass this mini round-about everyday, when we want to go computer lab, canteen, office, and go to school! Everything here is genuinely green, green trees, with green ferns, accompanied by green grass! There's a little fountain at night in the middle there.

This is how the man-made fountain looks like at night. It'll start at 9.30pm everyday.

There is a baby grand piano in the hostel, but neither it's K-Kawai or Yamaha, and the piano sounds weird! = /Anyway, there're two more pianos in the other rooms. I guess the other two pianos are better.

If I'm not wrong, this pic was taken on our new year celebration. The background is somewhat messy, just ignore it! The middle one is a PRC scholar, Shi Ce.

Oh yea, this must be introduced. Before we can go in to our block C, we need to log in our ID, and place our finger as this machine will verify our thumbprint and indicate whether we are in that particular block. It's a bit troublesome and complicated but it's for our own safety.

Wooh, I have bought myself a cheap-mall-bought sushi. My first sushi in Singapore =) Anyhow, for me, it really tastes nice.

When we feel hungry, we will eat instant noodles.
This is Hwa Chong Institution, I captured this from the overbridge. There is a swimming pool!!!

4. My School
My school is located in Tanglin Road, after having a short-walking-distance from Orchard, you'll reach here. Once you see this "Tanglin Rd" road sign, you are probably not far from my school!

I forgot to take a photo of my school's facade, I'll try later. To satisfy my fellow friends, here you have our school moto. Don't ask me the precise meaning of it. I STILL don't know yet. I'm actually quite proud, at least I know how's the melody of our school song.

This is me standing in front of my school- Crescent Girls' School!

The parade square, include the basketball court, netball court...... The buildings which are surrounding the square are block "don't know"... I'm new.=(

After walking up the stairs, you will find my classroom. I'm in 3C3. I don't know why I'm in this class, it's just a coincidence, don't ask me why.

We call this Rotanda, which connects three buildings, I suppose. While you are walking along, you'll feel dizzy, somehow like after having an exciting ride on roller coaster. (actually not that exaggerated!) And it looks really gorgeous to have many countries' flag there. I don't know some, never mind.
This is the school library.
Ah, a lot of books there! =) mainly English.
And finally, I have uploaded something which you guys have been longing for ages to see!

The first day of school

By looking at the title, I guess you know what I'm going to blog about.

I have to blog about this, 'cause I think, at least, for me, it's very important, it does mean a lot. It's a new school, a new environment, and also I meet new friends, everything is new. =)

First, we went to school by private bus, which we objected, but obviously a vain attempt. Early in the morning, there's a slight drizzle, signaling the coming of any storm? I'm not sure, anyway. : / Huh~*heave a massive sigh*

I'm now sitting with a korean, also a PR of singapore, who choose malay as her mother tongue language. (for me, my first expression is har?*aghast*!) This is quite rare, I assume. She's in the school band, and is playing the trumpet, which I would like to try for a long time but haven't got round to. She's quite nice, and her English is pretty good! Apparently, she can speak English fluently. =)

I'm feeling somewhat dizzy and giddy today, and this led me to a certain state of sleepy during some lessons. =( Some teachers aren't very enthusiastic, but somewhat dull in their teaching. Especially Physics and Chemistry lessons, the teachers are rushing and I didn't get any point. = /

We, malaysians, seem like being neglected. They reckon we're singaporeans. Anyway, our senior just asked us to be who we are. During lessons, teachers will mention, I know there are some PRC scholars here. (they forgot malaysian scholars! )

We have assembly today, and while they are singing their national song and school song, we just kept our mouth shut, not singing. When they recite their pledge, neither did we say. Oh, I feel like I have betrayed Malaysia. =( I feel depressed, 'cause from now onwards, I won't listen to Negaraku and Chong Hwa school song anymore.

I wasn't very impressed by my new school, personally, I think Chong Hwa is much better. I feel nostalgic. I feel schoolsick and homesick. =(
